Free online poker game with no real money

Play poker very easily. No download, no registration. You play with robots that use not only artificial intelligence but also hundreds of millions of human decisions previously made by real players. In strategy games, robots have their limits and none can replace the subtlety of a human decision. That is why we adopted the opposite concept: here, robots are assisted by humans.

Poker through the decades: the technological evolution of a timeless game

Thierry d’Herbigny, a poker enthusiast and also passionate about card games in general, developed a local network game program as early as 1983 at the École Polytechnique de Montréal. In 1987, he put it online through Minitel, long before the arrival of the Internet. In 2007, he created the first poker game on smartphone, presented in Biarritz. In 2011, he launched the "Playmate", a modernized version of the Bridgemate connected through Wi-Fi. Finally, in 2013, he integrated big data and AI, with robots relying on a huge database of human decisions to reproduce realistic playing behavior.

Poker basics

Each player receives 2 private cards. Then 5 community cards are revealed gradually in the center of the table (the flop, the turn, and the river).

The goal is to make the best possible 5-card hand using your private cards and the community cards.

At each stage, players can bet, call, raise, or fold. The player with the best hand at the end wins the chips wagered (the pot).

Hand rankings range from the royal flush (the strongest hand) to the high card (the weakest hand).

Tips to improve your poker game

Online poker requires as much strategy as live poker, but with a few specific features. Start by choosing your starting hands carefully: there is no need to play every hand, patience is a real strength.

Watch the betting patterns of other players closely: even without seeing their expressions, you can identify cautious players, aggressive ones, or those who bluff often. Also learn to manage your stack: do not bet too quickly or too much without reason.

Bluffing also works online, but it should remain occasional and thoughtful. Playing too many hands or bluffing too often will make you predictable. Finally, make the most of the tools offered by online poker: hand history, replays, statistics… Analyze your mistakes, track your progress, and keep learning.
